The 5/8" "Star Wars Pin" fastener is designed to be used with a 7/16" or 9/16" thick x 5/8" wide grille bar that has a slot parallel to the glass cut into the end of the bar.
The pin is composed of an injection moulded plastic with a 20 guage metal nail set into the fastener that contacts the wood frame holding the grille firmly into position.
